Can I just turn up to Dance Classes?
No. All students must have completed an enrolment form and have ‘booked’ onto a class before attending.
How do I book a class?
Please complete an enquiry form https://rokh-dance.com/enquiries and you will be contacted with information detailing dance classes / drama classes suitable for the age and experience of your child. Alternatively, you can book a trial direct here: https://app.classmanager.com/trials/rokh-dance?season_id=9
How do I know which is the correct class to attend?
Classes are usually based on age, when the student has no previous experience. If the student does have previous experience, the Principal will advise which is the correct class for your child to attend based upon age, previous experience and ability.
How do I pay my fees?
Fees are paid by a monthly direct debit.
Can my child enter exams?
All students have the opportunity to enter ISTD Dance exams and LAMDA Drama exams. The opportunity is timetabled into our yearly calendar and students are entered at the sole discretion of the Principal and Teaching Faculty.
What should my child wear to their first class at ROKH Dance?
Before you rush out to purchase the necessary dance uniform, we want to be sure that your child is completely happy in class. During the first two classes your child may wear clothes which are comfortable to move in, such as leggings, shorts or tracksuit bottoms and a t shirt or vest top. The girls may like to wear a dress or skirt to class for Ballet. We do ask that the required uniform is worn to class within the first 4 weeks after registration.
Do classes run during school holidays?
Our classes run during term time only. All term dates are found in our monthly newsletters on our Facebook page and in the top banner of the website.
We hold a Summer School during the Summer holidays.
Do you perform shows?
Performing is a vital part of our student’s education at ROKH Dance and there are various performing opportunities for the students, throughout the year. We aim to produce a whole school production at a professional theatre at least every 2 years.
What is the school uniform and where can I get it?
Our uniform is available to purchase once you register on our Parent Portal.
Please order a week in advance in order for your order to be waiting for your child at their class. We also sell ROKH Dance Merchandise from https://ruddyduckprintshop.co.uk/rokh-dance/
Can I watch my child’s class?
We welcome parents and families to watch a class at the end of each term, in an informal sharing, to celebrate the children’s achievements.
Ordinarily, parents are requested to wait in the allocated waiting areas.
What happens if we miss a class?
Unfortunately, all fees are non – refundable as detailed in our Terms and Conditions.
Is there anything else my child should take with them to class?
It is important for all students to be kept well hydrated and we recommend bringing a named water bottle to class.
Our Mini ROKH Stars – Stage 1 children may also bring a small cuddly toy with them to class.
How should my child wear their hair?
We request that all children attend classes with hair neatly groomed and off the face. Children who attend Ballet classes must wear their hair in a neatly groomed bun.
Hopefully the information above covers some common questions. Please also refer to our ROKH Dance policy for further information. However, if you have any questions that are not answered above, please email with any queries you may have.
