Dance and Drama Classes for Students age 11 - 18 years

 Students have generally progressed through the lower grades and are very committed to their discipline, often taking two or more dance classes per week. 

In Grade 5 we introduce pointe work once students have gained the desired strength.
We also encourage students that have not previously had the opportunity to study Ballet and wish to take a weekly class.
We have multiple dance classes for all ages at numerous venues throughout the week.   

Monday - Iron Acton

Thursday - Wotton - Under - Edge

These are fast paced tap dancing classes, suitable for students who have secure technique and enjoy detailed choreography. These dance classes develop tone, sound and style.  

We have multiple classes for children age 11 - 18 years at numerous venues throughout the week.   

Wednesday - Frampton Cotterell & Wotton  - Under - Edge

 Modern Theatre dance is a rhythmic, highly energetic dance style which is often seen on the stages of musical productions. 

Modern dancing uses travelling steps, high kicks, leaps and turns. Children enjoy the challenge of improving their flexibility, gaining strength and travelling through space at speed. Different musical accompaniment allows children to develop their expression and musical understanding.

Wednesday - Iron Acton & Wotton Under Edge

 Hip hop is a culture, which includes music, dance and graffiti. Street Dance incorporates a wide range of commercial dance styles including Jazz, Street, Urban-Commercial and Jazz Funk. This class is great fun, energetic, fast paced and a great work out whilst learning the latest moves!

Tues 7.30 - 8.15pm
 

 Contemporary dance combines Ballet and modern dance to develop a more natural way of dancing. Developing balance, coordination, flexibility and strength, this genre is always evolving  and rewards creative freedom and artistic expression.
This is a fantastic class for students that would like to dance but haven't previously had training or students that are taking Dance GCSE at school and would like an additional class.

 Drama is a fun, fantastical and phenomenal class. Students develop theatre making skills, physical performance skills, speech and vocal technique and life skills; including confidence, self esteem and working well individually and within a team. There is the opportunity to take LAMDA exams but this is not compulsory and many students attend for fun!
